Mildred Irene Johnson, 79, of Riverton, IL died at 9:05 pm, Saturday, March 17, 2018 at Memorial Medical Center. She was born February 9, 1939 in Mt. Morris, PA to Minor James and Lucy Virginia Pearl (Presock) Fordyce.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Shirley Caviness and Marlene Bennett; and one brother, Raymond Fordyce.
Survivors include, four children, James F. (Melody) Taylor of Traverse City, MI, Donald (Ann) Taylor of Interlochen, MI, David (June) Taylor of Springfield, IL and Katrina (Matt) Hill of Huntingtown, MD; four grandchildren; four great grandchildren; one sister, Grace Conklin of Waynesburg, PA; one brother, Paul (Sandy) Fordyce of California; and several nieces and nephews.
Mildred was a resident of Riverton for 29 years. She worked at Walmart as a cashier until her retirement after 15 years of service.
She was a member of Real Life Church and the Eagles Aerie # 437. She also enjoyed traveling and doing puzzles.
Memorial Gathering: 4 – 6 PM, Thursday, March 22, 2018 at Staab Funeral Home-Springfield.
Memorial Service: 6 pm, Thursday, March 22, 2018 at Staab Funeral Home-Springfield with Pastor Clint Cook officiating.
