Maureen Stringfield, 83, of Springfield, died at 3:02 am, Tuesday, January 30, 2018 at Alive Hospice in Murfreesboro, TN. She was born September 6, 1934 in Abercarn, South Wales, Great Britain to Arthur and Florence Annie May Jones Eynon. She married Orville E. Stringfield on December 20, 1953.
Surviving are her husband, Orville of Springfield; one son, Robert Allen (Pamela) Stringfield of Murfreesboro, TN and one grandson, Bryan P. (Chelsea) Stringfield of Fairview, TN.
She was preceded in death by her parents and three brothers.
Maureen was a member of Third Presbyterian Church. She had been a resident of Springfield since 1948 and retired from the State of Illinois.
Visitation: 4:00 – 7:00 pm, Sunday, February 4, 2018 at Staab Funeral Home – Springfield. A second visitation will be held from 10-10:45 am, Monday, February 5, 2018 at Third Presbyterian Church.
Funeral Service: 11:00 am, Monday, February 5, 2018 at Third Presbyterian Church with Dr. Joe Eby officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Ridge Cemetery.
