Mary Rebecca Riemann

Mary Rebecca Riemann, 92, of Springfield, died at 2:45 pm, Thursday, April 13, 2017 at Bickford Senior Living Home. She was born December 2, 1924 in Springfield to George and Bertha Schnirring. She married Gilbert Riemann on June 18, 1955.

Surviving are her husband, Gilbert of Springfield; one sister, Dorothy Kessler of Springfield; one sister-in-law, Aldena Pluhm of Litchfield; two nieces, Janice (Jim) Meisenheimer of Bunker Hill and Linda Riemann of Columbia, MO and one nephew, Preston (Leetha) Brown of Carlinville.

Mary was an active member of Trinity Lutheran Church. She enjoyed gardening, playing the violin, and her cats. She retired as a supervisor from the State of Illinois Central Management Services after 51 years of service.

Visitation: 10-11 am Tuesday, April 18, 2017 at Staab Funeral Home-Springfield.

Funeral Service: 11 am Tuesday, April 18, 2017 at Staab Funeral Home with Reverend Dr. Thomas Radtke officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Ridge Cemetery.
