Mary R. Aldrich

March 22, 1925 - January 13, 2015

Mary Rose Aldrich, 89, of Sherman,  died at 11:15 p.m.  Tuesday, January 13, 2015 at St. John’s Hospice.

She was born on March 22, 1925 in Springfield, to Joseph and Elizabeth Mari Camille.  On September 2, 1955, she married Glen W. Aldrich and he preceded her in death in November of 1987.  She is also preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Ralph Camille.

Mary is survived by two daughters, Sharon Crawford and Eleanor (Peter) Garvey, both of Springfield; a son, Wayne Aldrich of Lexington; five grandchildren; five great grandchildren; four brothers, James (Connie), Frank Raymond and Joseph (Charlotte) Camille, Jr all of Sherman and Robert (Helga) Camille of Asheville, NC and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Mary was a homemaker for many years and then retired from the Villa Retirement Center in March of 1999 after eight years of service where she worked as a secretary/receptionist.  She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, Immanuel Ladies Aid and the Academy of Lifelong learning at Lincoln Land College.

Visitation: 9:30-11:00 a.m. Saturday, January 17, 2015 at Immanuel Lutheran Church.

Funeral Service: 11:00 a.m. Saturday, January 17, 2015 at Immanuel Lutheran Church with Reverend Darrell L. Debowey officiating.

Graveside Service:  Family graveside service at 10 a.m. Monday, January 19, 2015 at Camp Butler National Cemetery.

Memorial Contributions may be made to Immanuel Lutheran Church or St. John’s Hospice.
