Mary L. Woloshyn

Mary L. Woloshyn, 93, of Springfield, died at 5:05 pm, Tuesday, November 4, 2014 at Villa Healthcare East in Sherman.  She was born December 6, 1920, in Cantrall, to Daniel and Katherine McIntyre Metz.  She married Nicholas T. Woloshyn on June 19, 1948 and he preceded her in death on November 26, 1993.

She is survived by one daughter, Jean Herndon of San Jose’, CA; one son, Mark S. (Kaye) Woloshyn of Loami; six step grandchildren; twelve step great grandchildren; one brother James R. (Lucille) Metz of Springfield; several nieces, nephews and several great nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother and three sisters.

Mary was a resident of Springfield most of her life.  She was a member of St. Aloysius Church and the Eldertree.

She worked in sales at many Department Stores included Bergner’s North, Montgomery Ward and Sears.

Visitation: 4-7 pm, Sunday, November 9, 2014 at Staab funeral Home, with a prayer service at 4 pm.

Funeral Service:   10 am, Monday, November 10, 2014 at St. Aloysius Church with Monsignor David Lantz officiating.  Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Aloysius Church.
