WILLIAMSVILLE – Mary Karen Kohler, 48, of Williamsville died at 11:48 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 3, 2009, at Memorial Medical Center.
She was born Nov. 11, 1961, in St. Louis, the daughter of Bob and Rosemary Gertken Kemp. She married Jon-Paul Kohler on September 14, 1991.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Cindy Harrison.
She is survived by her husband, Jon-Paul Kohler of Williamsville; a daughter, Cassaundra Kohler of Williamsville; two sons, Austin and Carson Kohler of Williamsville; two sisters, Cathy (Tom) Marnin of St. Louis and Barb (Leo) Nighohossian of Granite City; a sister-in-law, Lea-Ann (Greg) Smith of Willard, Mo.; three brothers, Bob Kemp of Granite City, Bill (Lisa) Kemp of Fenton, Mo., and John (Donna) Kemp of Chesterfield, Mo.; a brother-in-law, Bob Harrison of Florissant, Mo.; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Mary was a resident of Williamsville since 1995.
She was a member of St. John Vianney Church. She loved spending time with her family and spending time at the Lake of the Ozarks.
Visitation will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 6, 2009, at Staab Funeral Home. Mary’s body will lie in state from 9 a.m. until the time of funeral Mass at 10 a.m. Monday, Dec. 7, 2009, at St. John Vianney Church in Sherman, with Monsignor Carl Kemme officiating.
The family requests donations be made to a trust fund for the Kohler children c/o Williamsville State Bank and Trust or Susan G. Komen for the Cure.
