Mary K. Hendrickson, 92, of Springfield, died at 11:30 am on Thursday, October 20, 2016 at Regency Nursing Care. She was born December 24, 1923 in Wayne County, Illinois to Samuel and Araminta Case Ellis. She married Roscoe “Ross” Hendrickson on March 19, 1949, and he survives.

Other survivors include one son, James J. (Debra) Hendrickson of Springfield; daughter-in-law, Lois Hendrickson of Ballwin, MO; five grandchildren, Lindsey (Derek) Leonard, Craig Hendrickson, Jenny (Don) Jacquin, Scott (Sonni) Hendrickson and Adam (Elizabeth) Hendrickson; seven great-grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her son Richard; two brothers, Nevan and Gale Ellis and two sisters, Geneva Remaley and Frieda Hoover.
Mary was a member of Elliott Avenue Baptist Church. She was employed by the State of Illinois doing clerical and stenography work for over 40 years. She was a resident of Springfield since 1943. Mary enjoyed playing shuffleboard and flower gardening.

Visitation: 10-11:30 am, Wednesday, October 26, 2016 at Staab Funeral Home-
Springfield.

Funeral Service: 11:30 am, Wednesday, October 26, 2016 at Staab Funeral Home-Springfield with Reverend Dr. Mark Estrop officiating. Burial will follow at Camp Butler National Cemetery.
