SPRINGFIELD – Mary Ann Osburn, 93, of Springfield died at 12:15 p.m. Monday, April 5, 2010, at Regency Nursing Care Residence.
She was born April 19, 1916, in Springfield, the daughter of Leonardo and Francesca Giganti Saladino. She married William S. Osburn on Dec. 3, 1949; he preceded her in death on May 23, 1961.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Joe, Carl and Pete Saladino; sisters, Grace Fulgenzi and her twin sister, Josephine Bartolomucci.
She is survived by four daughters, Judy Best (companion, Rob Lomelino) of Springfield, Carol (Ted) Mikowski of Albany, Ore., Jeanne (Larry) Needham, and Cindy (Larry) Newberry, both of Springfield; four grandchildren, Monica (Joe) Romang, Darren Best and Stephen (Jennie) Nicholas, all of Springfield and Shanen (Bill) Kmett of Sherman; five great-grandchildren, D.J., Elizabeth, Dominic, Caroline, and Colin; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Mary Ann was a lifelong resident of Springfield. She was a beautician, employed by the Ambassador, and was self-employed out of her home, retiring after 30 years. She was a member of the Catholic faith and was a past member of Eagles Auxiliary. She enjoyed dancing and music.
Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday, April 8, 2010, at Staab Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m.
Friday, April 9, 2010, at Staab Funeral Home, with Vaughn Beeman officiating. Burial will be at Camp Butler National Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
