Mary A. Marada

Mary A. Marada, 90, passed away at 5:35 PM, Friday, May 11, 2018 at her home. She was born on July 20, 1927 in Springfield to Paul C. and Mary (Hruska) Marada.

She is survived by her sisters, Frances Marada of Riverton, Anne Marada of Des Plaines, IL, and Theresa Power of Springfield; brother, Stephen Marada of Sherman; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Frank, Mike, John, and Joseph Marada; sisters, Helen Marada and Emma Sanders.

Mary graduated from Riverton High School as valedictorian of her class. She bought Robinson’s Advertising Service in 1954 and operated that business until 2010- 56 years.

She was an avid swimmer, swimming seven days a week for most of her life.

She was regarded by all who knew her as kind, generous, and loving. The ring of her laughter will be a lasting memory.

Visitation: 9-10:15 AM, Tuesday, May 15, 2018 at St. James Catholic Church in Riverton.

Funeral Mass: 10:30 AM, Tuesday, May 15, 2018 at St. James Catholic Church with Reverend Raphael Paul DeMoreno officiating. Burial will be held at Calvary cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. James Catholic Church.
