Mark William House, 60, lost his battle with cancer on Friday, October 25, 2013. Mark was born December 25, 1952 in Springfield to Billy C. and Josephine Rose Donaldson House who precede him in death.

Mark married the love of his life Carole Schmitt on September 10, 1994 in Springfield. They were blessed with two daughters, Alexandra Marie born on October 13, 1995 and Sydney Anne on July 6, 1999 all three survive.

Also surviving two brothers Timothy (Beverly) House of Smyra, TN; Barry (Linda) House of Chatham; one aunt Louise Donaldson several nieces, nephews and cousins.

He worked for 21 years at Illinois National Bank, he worked for Capitol Strategies and several state agencies, most recently Healthcare and Family Services where he was implementing a Project Management Office.

Mark volunteered at the Dana-Thomas House from September 1990 through June 2013 and enjoyed giving tours to people unfamiliar with the house.
He was very involved in building a project management community in Springfield since 1995. He scheduled many events and classes to give people the opportunity to share their experiences.
Mark and Carole loved to spend time watching both of their daughter’s track meets and cross country meets. They were very special times.

Let Mark’s passing remind everyone to hold on to each moment as if it may be your last.

Visitation: 4 – 7 pm, Tuesday, October 29, 2013 at Staab Funeral Home with Prayer service at 4 pm.

Funeral Mass: 10 am, Wednesday, October 30, 2013 at St. Agnes Church with Reverend Robert Jallas officiating. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the education fund for his children in C/O Carrollton Bank, 2135 West Wabash Ave., Springfield, IL, 62704.
