Marjorie R. "Marj" Todd

Marjorie R. “Marj” Todd, 83, of Riverton, died on Sunday, December 4, 2016, at Memorial Medical Center. She was born June 20, 1933 in New City, IL to Frank and Hazel (Basford) Purnell, and they preceded her in death. She married Thomas E. Todd on May 4, 1958, and he survives.

Marj is also survived by her son, Bob Todd (companion Kirsti Carter) of Riverton, and grandchildren, Jordyn and Zachary Todd. She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers and one sister.

Marj was a member of Riverton United Methodist Church. Throughout her working years she was employed by Illinois Bell, Ted’s Accounting Service in Riverton, the Riverton Village Clerk, Long Elevator and was Office Manager for the Village of Riverton. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, traveling and wintering in Yuma, AZ.

Visitation: 11 am – 1 pm, Wednesday, December 7, 2016 at Staab Funeral Home-Springfield.

Funeral Service: 1 pm, Wednesday, Dec. 7, 2016 at Staab Funeral Home-Springfield with Pastor John Cross officiating. Burial will be at Camp Butler National Cemetery at a later date.
