Marjorie L. Casey

Marjorie L. Casey, 87, of Springfield, died at 4:35 am, Wednesday, December 21, 2016 at Villa East Healthcare Center.

She was born March 29, 1929 in Jacksonville, IL to H. Frank and Mary L. Murphy Casey. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother, Francis E. Casey and sister, Mary Ellen Wooldridge.

Surviving are four nephews, Michael P. Casey of Chatham, Steven W. (Martha) Wooldridge of Chapin, IL, James M. Wooldridge of Jerseyville, IL and Gary K. (Connie) Wooldridge of Port Richey, FL; one niece, Linda L. Beeley of Jacksonville, IL; sister-in-law, Gloria J. Casey of Chatham; and several great and great-great nieces and nephews.

Marjorie graduated from Routt Catholic High School in Jacksonville, Class of 1947. She also attended Illinois College and Lincoln Land Community College.

She was a resident of Springfield since 1965, formerly of Jacksonville. Marjorie retired from the United States Small Business Administration as a loan officer after 20 years of service.

Visitation: 9:30-10:45 am, Tuesday, December 27, 2016 at Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception.

Funeral Mass: 11:00 am, Tuesday, December 27, 2016 at Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception with Reverend Braden Maher officiating. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery in Jacksonville, IL.
