Marjorie E. Eandi, 86, of Rochester, IL died at 2:30 a.m., Thursday, November 4, 2010 at home. She was born on October 9, 1924 in Winchester, IL the daughter of Herbert and Sidna Ball White. She is preceded her in death by her parents, three brothers and two sisters. She married Andrew Eandi in Columbia, SC on July 22, 1944.
Marjorie is survived by her husband, Andrew; three sons, Dr. Michael (Joyce) Eandi of Pebble Beach, CA, Steve (Pam) Eandi of Boulder, CO and Robert (Maribeth) Eandi of Rochester; seven Grandchildren; four Great Grandchildren; one brother, Donald (Eileen) White of Jacksonville and many nieces and nephews.
Marjorie graduated from Winchester High School. She was a stay at home wife and mother until she started working for the State Employee Association in 1963. She also worked briefly for the State Retirement System and the Department of Transportation. In her early years, she was an active member of the PTA, where she held local and state offices and was a Cub Scout Den Mother for several years. Mr. and Mrs. Eandi moved to Clayton, GA in 1978, when Andrew was transferred with Sangamo Electric Co., and lived there until his retirement in 1982. They then moved to Rochester. Marjorie is a member of the Elks Ladies Auxiliary, Eagles, AARP and Senior Services, where she enjoyed playing Pinochle and Bunco. She was an honorary member of the Blue Ridge Club and is a member of Little Flower Catholic Church.
Visitation: 4:00-6:00 p.m., Sunday, November 7, 2010 at Staab Funeral Home.
Funeral Service: 10:00 a.m., Monday, November 8, 2010 at Staab Funeral Home with Monsignor John Ossola, officiating. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery.
