Marjorie J. Lemasters, 98, of Buffalo Hart died at 6:30 pm, Thursday, April 3, 2014 at Regency Nursing Care Residence. She was born September 6, 1915 in Charleston, IL, to Clinton and Myrtle Echard Brewer. She married Walter H. Lemasters on October 2, 1936 and he preceded her in death on May, 30, 2005.
She is survived by three daughters, Nancy Brantly (Fiance’, Tom Evans) of Winter Haven, FL, Carolyn (Christopher) McMillen of Toulon, IL and Vicky (Darrell) McMurray of Springfield; one son, W. Michael “Mike” (Deborah) Lemasters of Buffalo Hart, IL; ten grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren; one sister-in-law and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, five brothers and six sisters.
Marjorie was a member of Calvary Temple. She was a fifty year member of Eastern Star. She also was a 4-H leader, Sunday School Teacher and a member of Sangamon County Home Extension. She enjoyed spending time with her family, gardening and anything to do with flowers.
She was a homemaker; worked in retail at Sears; was a beautician and farmed with her husband.
Visitation: 9:30-11 am, Tuesday, April 8, 2014 at Staab Funeral Home.
Funeral Service: 11 am, Tuesday, April 8, 2014 at Staab Funeral Home with Pastor Paul Rose officiating. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital; Disabled American Veterans or to a Charity of the Donor’s Choice.
