SPRINGFIELD – Marilyn Jeanne Londrigan, 82, of Springfield died in her sleep at home on Thursday, November 26, 2009.
Marilyn was born on March 9, 1927, in Springfield, IL, the daughter of Timothy and Agnes Ford Brust. She married James T. Londrigan on April 22, 1950 in Springfield.
She was a lifelong resident of Springfield and graduated from Ursuline Academy and Springfield Junior College. She was a cherished mother, caring grandmother, loving wife, dear sister, wonderful mother-in-law and loyal friend.
Marilyn was a founding member of Christ the King Church. She was a member of Panther Creek Country Club and enjoyed playing golf, accomplishing two hole-in-ones, she was a member of two bridge clubs and was an avid bridge player.
Surviving are her family: husband, James T. Londrigan; five children, Linda (husband, Dennis) Gillette of Springfield, Janet (husband, Robert) Krigbaum of St. Petersburg, FL, Timothy J. (wife, Carla) Londrigan of Springfield, Lisa Beene of Dallas, TX, and Mary Jeanne (husband, Dennis) Weakly of Springfield; one sister, Mary Claire Brost of Springfield; five grandchildren, Connor and Ciara Londrigan, Luke and Lexie Weakly, all of Springfield, and Halle Beene of Dallas, TX; several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until 10:15 a.m. at Christ the King Church on Saturday, November 28, 2009. Funeral Mass at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Christ the King, with Reverend Corey Brost, C.S.V. officiating. Burial will be in Oak Ridge Cemetery.
Memorials may be given to Sacred Heart Griffin High School.
