SPRINGFIELD – Margareta Margo Loeser, 89, of Springfield died at 3:18 p.m. Monday, Dec. 28, 2009, at St. Joseph’s home.
She was born March 26, 1920, in Hamburg, Germany, the daughter of Wilhelm and Regina Pager Fleischmann. She married Edgar Carl Abe Loeser in 1958.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Hans; and brothers-in-law, Louis, James, Howard and Stuart.
She was survived by her husband, Edgar Carl Abe Loeser of Springfield; 1 sister, Hilde Bell of Columbus, GA; two sisters-in-law, Lorraine Matulevich and Rita Broeker, and a brother-in-law, Al (Carol) Loeser, all of Springfield; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
She did clerical work for Hawkeye Insurance & State of Illinois for a short time. She was a homemaker.
She was a member of St. Aloysius Church, life member of VFW Auxiliary Post 755, and life member of DAV Auxiliary in Louisiana. She was a volunteer Pink Lady at Beauregard Hospital in DeRidder, Louisiana.
Visitation will be held from 9-10 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 2, 2010, at Staab Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 2, 2010, at Staab Funeral Home, with the Rev. Peter Harman officiating. Burial will be at Camp Butler National Cemetery.
