Margaret J. Kovski

Margaret J. Kovski, 90, of Springfield, passed away at 4:55 am, Saturday, January 7, 2017 at her home. She was born October 30, 1926, in Springfield, to Charles W. and Jessie (Humphrey) Lancaster.

Survivors include, one daughter, Lynda B. (George) Keys of Springfield; one son, Roy J. Kovski of Springfield; six grandchildren, Bryan (Trisha) Keys, Kory (Lindsay) Kovski, Brandon (Chrissy) Keys, Kelly (Mandy) Kovski, Kyle Kovski, and Krisanne (Nate) Kovski-Wallace; thirteen great-grandchildren; one nephew and several cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother Louis Clark Lancaster; and three sisters, Geraldine Smith, Elaine Parker, and Burnetta King.

Margaret was a homemaker and an avid seamstress and St. Louis Cardinal fan. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and family.

Visitation: 10:00 – 11:30 am, Thursday, January 12, 2017 at Staab Funeral Home –Springfield.

Funeral Service: 11:30 am, Thursday, January 12, 2017 at Staab Funeral Home- Springfield with Reverend Scott Thelander, SJC officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Ridge Cemetery.
