Margaret Flynn, 75, of Springfield, died at 9:37 pm, Monday, November 26, 2012 at St. John’s Hospice. She was born December 14, 1936 in Springfield to Louis and Violet Houston Pilcher. She married John Flynn on March 17, 1955 and he survives.
Also surviving are two daughters, Becky (Glen) Banning and Patty (Barry) Buragas both of Springfield; three sons, John (Ellen Wikoff) Flynn, Robert (Chris) Flynn and Jim (Lisa) Flynn all of Springfield; twelve grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; two step great grandchildren; one sister, Jenny (Wayne) Hinsler of Ohio and a grand dog, Timmy Joe.
She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, George, Buz and Butch Pilcher; four sisters, Betty Baker, Joan Delong, Judy Shipley and Barbara Pilcher: one grandson, Sean Michael and one granddaughter, Shannon Marie.
Margaret was a member of St. Aloysius Church. She was a homemaker. She loved her children and especially her grandchildren. She enjoyed birthdays and loved the holidays, especially St. Patrick’s Day, Easter, Thanksgiving and Christmas. She enjoyed trips to the parks and just being with her grandchildren. She was a beautiful lady and will be sadly missed.
Visitation: 5-7 pm, Friday, November 30, 2012 at Staab Funeral Home.
Funeral Service: 10 am, Saturday, December 1, 2012 at Staab Funeral Home with Reverend Richard L. Chiola officiating, burial will follow at Oak Ridge Cemetery.
