EDINBURG – Marcella Griffin, 93, of Edinburg died at 5 a.m. Friday, May 30, 2008, at Lewis Memorial Christian Village.
She was born April 6, 1915, in Rochester, the daughter of Roy and Pearl Crain Beam. She married William H. Griffin in 1941; he preceded her in death in 1975.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Patricia Sue Remack; and three sisters, Geneva Brookins, Jean Brawner and Jane Castle.
She is survived by a daughter, Joette (husband, Don) Curtis of Edinburg; two grandchildren, Shawn (husband, Charles) Conwell and Will (wife, Julie) Remack; a great-grandchild, Lilly Cornwell; a sister, Linda Lou (husband, Darrell) Rhoades of Morrisonville; a brother, Bill (wife, Kathy) Beam of Springfield; and several nieces and nephews.
Marcella was a lifelong resident of Springfield and was a member of ANSA Rettes.
Graveside services and burial will be at Horse Creek Cemetery in Pawnee beginning at 1 p.m. Saturday, June 7, 2008, with the Rev. Leroy Donathan officiating.
Memorials may be made to Shriner’s Hospital for Children.
