SPRINGFIELD – Madonna Donna Marie Davenport, 63, of Springfield died at 8:06 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 4, 2009, at her residence.
She was born in December 1945, in Paris, France, the daughter of Wallace and Josiann Lannois Asher.
She was preceded in death by her parents and an infant son, Jeffery Davenport.
She is survived by three sons, Matt (wife, Brae) Davenport, Aaron Davenport and Chris Davenport, all of Springfield; six grandchildren; a half-sister, Linda Asher;
a brother, Thomas (wife, Mary) Asher; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Donna was a resident of Springfield for most of her life. She worked for the U.S. Department of Agriculture in the Agriculture Statistics Department.
She was of the Catholic faith. She was a member of Sangamon County Home Extension. She enjoyed gardening and tending to her plants, spending time with her grandchildren and raising chickens. She was a graduate of Sacred Heart Academy.
Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. until the time of funeral services at 1 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 8, 2009, at Staab Funeral Home, with
Pastor Clint Cook officiating. Burial will be at Oak Hill Cemetery
