Lynne Bailey, 74, of Springfield, passed away on Friday, July 29, 2022 at her home. She was born on May 5, 1948, in Springfield, the daughter of Glenn E. and Mary Alice (Schmidt) Albers and they preceded her in death. She married Larry A. Bailey on May 2, 1970 and he survives.
Also surviving are her daughter, Brittany (Aaron) Puchbauer of Aviston; three grandchildren, Chase, Charlie and Luke Puchbauer; three brothers, Joseph (Sandra) Albers of Arlington Heights, John (Kathy) Albers of Gulf Shores, AL and Thomas (Janet) Albers of Springfield; nieces and nephews, Michael Albers, Stephen (Leslie) Albers, Michelle (Ray) Drodz, Melissa Albers, Christine Albers, T.J. (Anna) Albers, and Zachary Albers; and several cousins.
Lynne was a resident of Springfield all her life. She graduated from Springfield High School. She was a member of Christ the King Church. She enjoyed shopping so much, that she eventually received her “PhD”. Lynne worked in various departments at HSHS St. John’s Hospital, and truly found her passion assisting the volunteers in the Samaritan Office.
Visitation: 10 am – 12 pm, Tuesday, August 2, 2022 at Christ the King Church.
Funeral Mass: 12 pm, Tuesday, August 2, 2022 at Christ the King Church with Reverend Clinton Honkomp, OP officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Ridge Cemetery.
