Lynn Thomas Fleckenstein, 69, of Springfield, passed away on Monday, November 22, 2021 at his home. He was born January 7, 1952, in Decatur, the son of Leonard and Mary Elizabeth (Munster) Fleckenstein. They preceded him in death. He married Rebecca Jean Tanner October 11, 1996 and she preceded him in death August 24, 2009.
Survivors include three siblings, Rebecca Meeks, Timothy (Teri) Fleckenstein and Jennifer Banning (Linda Sherwood), all of Springfield; several aunts; one uncle; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Tom worked for GTE/Verizon in Florida, retiring after many years of service. He loved animals and enjoyed spending time with his family’s pets.
A private inurnment will be held at Calvary Cemetery Columbarium.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Animal Protective League or to Central Illinois Foodbank.
