LulaJean Bausch

LulaJean “Lu” Bausch, 80, of Springfield, met her precious Savior face to face on April 11, 2018 at 2:50 am. She was born July 23, 1937 in St. Louis, MO to Leonard and Genevieve Hoffman Higgins. She married David A. Bausch on November 17, 1956 and he preceded her in death on June 11, 2013. She was also preceded in death by her parents and brother, Leonard.

Surviving are her beloved children; one son, David A. Bausch, Jr. of Springfield; two daughters, Deborah (Kevin) Misner of Joplin, MO and Donna (Robert) Charlton of Springfield; three adoring grandchildren, Trista Charlton, Chris Misner, and Zac (Melanie) Charlton, one adorable great-granddaughter, Mylie Charlton, and several nieces and nephews.

LulaJean attended West Side Christian Church. Every aspect of Lu’s life was dedicated to the love and care of her husband, parents, children, grandchildren, great-granddaughter, and extended family and friends. The most important thing in her life was Jesus Christ her Savior. She loved serving Him in every way possible at all churches she has attended.

The family would like to extend their sincere thanks to Dr. Nora MacZura, Jodi Bangert, PA-C and staff for their true compassion walking her through a six year hard fought battle. Thank you to Memorial Hospice Care for providing her comfort.

We would also like to thank the Rodkeys, Collins, and Sharps for being the definition of true friends.
Visitation: 3 pm – 5 pm Sunday, April 15, 2018 at Staab Funeral Home in Springfield, with additional visitation 10:30 am – 11 am on Monday, April 16, 2018 at Staab Funeral Home in Springfield.

Funeral Service: 11 am on Monday, April 16, 2018 at Staab Funeral Home in Springfield with Pastor Bob Green officiating. Burial will follow at Old Salem Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or a charity of the donor’s choice.
