Luella Hope Kane, 94, of Springfield, died at 12:18 am, Monday, January 9, 2017 at Oak Terrace. She was born December 8, 1922 in Trout Creek, MI, to Seabury and Agnes Hayward Mastick. She married Patrick V. Kane in 1946 and he preceded her in death in 1995.
Survivors include two sons, David (Abigail) Kane of New Berlin and Patrick T. (Angela) Kane of Geneva; four grandchildren; two great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; sister, Irene Gillette and brother, Ford Mastick.
Hope was a member of the Church of the Brethren. She retired from the Illinois Department of Revenue where she worked for sixteen years.
Memorial Gathering: 10:30 – 11:30 am, Wednesday, January 11, 2017 at Staab Funeral Home in Springfield.
Memorial Service: 11:30 am,Wednesday, January 11, 2017 at Staab Funeral Home in Springfield, with Pastor Kres Lipscomb officiating. Burial will follow at Camp Butler National Cemetery.
