Lucille W. Mohr
SHERMAN – Lucille W. Mohr, 95, of Sherman, died Thursday, June 28, 2007 at St. John’s Hospital.
She was born April 30, 1912 in Sangamon County, IL, the daughter of William Oscar and Sarah Elizabeth Franklin Perry. She married Joseph F. Mohr on April 29, 1934; he preceded her in death on August 26, 2003. Her parents; two brothers, Oscar Glenn Perry and Warren Franklin Perry; and one sister, Doris Mae Fitch, also preceded her in death.
Mrs. Mohr retired from the State of Illinois, where she worked as a clerk in the Mental Health Department. She was a member of 3rd Presbyterian Church, The Women’s Club, and Elks Auxiliary. She enjoyed dancing, reading, playing golf, and cards.
Survivors: one daughter, Joann E. (husband, Al) Hall of Athens, GA; one son, Jim F. (wife, Susan) Mohr of Wisconsin Rapids, WI; four grandchildren, Belinda Adams, Cynthia Nurmi, Jonathan Mohr, and Rebecca Taylor; seven great-grandchildren, Jessica Johnsen, Jeremy, Jason, and Jill Adams, Anneli Nurmi, Margaret Nurmi, and Evan Taylor; one brother, Robert Leigh (wife, Eva) Perry of Waverly; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Memorials may be made to 3rd Presbyterian Church.
Visitation will be held 5:00-7:00 p.m., Sunday, July 1, 2007. Services: 10:00 a.m., Monday, July 2, 2007, Reverend Mark Emerson officiating. Burial: Oak Ridge Cemetery. Staab Funeral Home of Service.
