SPRINGFIELD – LoVetta M. Green, 85, of Springfield died Tuesday, Nov. 10, 2009, at Capitol Care Center.
She was born Jan. 22, 1924, in Macomb, the daughter of Gene and Inez Jones. She was preceded in death by her parents; her brother; and two sisters.
She retired from Horace Mann Companies in 1986 after 19 years. She also worked part-time at AARP. She was a longtime member of the First United Methodist Church.
Surviving are two sons, William Alan Burton of Riverside, Calif., and Kenneth W. Burton of Springfield; a daughter, Glenda R. Burton of Springfield; three granddaughters, Michelle (Scott) Ferguson of Auburn, Ariana (Joseph) Seimas of Armona, Calif., and Leah (Bogban) Kravtisov of Riverside, Calif.; three great-grandsons, William Colby Mills and Sean Michael Mills, both of Auburn and Colin Joseph Seimas of Armona, Calif.; and a great-granddaughter, Payton Marie Ferguson of Auburn.
Private family graveside services will be held with the Rev. Vince Rohn officiating.
