Louis “Louie” Dominic Murrill, 87 of Springfield, died at 8:59 am, Sunday, November 27, 2016 at his home. He was born July 3, 1929 in Ringo, KS to Fortunto “Pete” and Carmela Termine Murrill. He married Dorothy Kruger on August 14, 1948 and she preceded him in death on November 24, 2005.
Survivors include three daughters, Cheryl (Mike) Carnduff of Springfield, Beth (Jim) Shepard and Karen (Steve) Ray both of Sherman; one son, Mike (Deb) Murrill of Springfield; seven grandchildren; two great grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; two sisters, Clara Menendez and Rose Menendez; two brothers, Joe and Frank Murrill and one grandson Daniel Carnduff.
Louis was a member of St. Cabrini Church. He was a US Army veteran serving during the Korean War.
He worked for Amhreins/Sunbeam Bakery as a driver/salesman for 36 years.
Visitation: 4-7 pm, Thursday, December 1, 2016 at Staab Funeral Home with a prayer service at 4 pm.
Funeral Mass: 10 am, Friday, December 2, 2016 at St. Cabrini Church with Reverend Clint Honkomp, OP officiating. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery.
