Lorraine Rose (Heveran) Tille, 86, of Boody, died at 6:33 pm, Monday, June 12, 2017, at Lavender Ridge Memory Care in Jacksonville. She was born November 25, 1930 in Chicago to Joseph E. and Lydia (Meyer) Heveran. She married Robert James Tille on November 24, 1949 and he preceded her in death. Also preceding her in death were her parents, granddaughter, Brittania Tille; one sister, Geraldine Gamache and one brother, Joseph “Butch” Heveran, Jr.
Surviving are one daughter, Deborah Smith of Jacksonville; two sons, Robert (Nancy) Tille of Washington State and Randall Tille of Decatur; two grandchildren, Cara (Josh) Dillabough and Tatiana Tille and one great grandchild, Kenzington Rose Dillabough.
Lorraine was a member of the Boody Methodist Church. She loved being a Cub Scout and Girl Scout Leader and was a long time family member of Little People of America, hosted many events. She was a founding Oreana library board member and a librarian in Oreana and Blue Mound. Lorraine worked at Oreana school in various capacities including library and classroom aide. She also worked at the Geherdt’s grocery store.
Lorraine loved camping with her family and enjoyed animals, especially her dachshunds.
Graveside services will be held at 11:00 am, Friday, July 28, 2017 at Camp Butler National Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be given to Little People of America, Girl Scouts or Boy Scouts of America.
The family would like to thank the kind and loving care provided to Lorraine at Lavender Ridge Memory Care.

To Deborah Smith.... I knew your parents through Art and Dorie Long OF course, I knew you when you were cashier at Decatur Memorial Hospital with Mary Hooper, Lorene Hodge and Nancy Smith about 40 years ago. Please accept my deepest condolences
