Lorene Barritt, 85, of Springfield, died at 7:03 pm, Saturday, January 13, 2018 at St. John’s Hospital. She was born June 15, 1932 in Springfield to John and Ethel (Hudson) Jacaway. She married Murrell R. Barritt on January 2, 1954. They recently celebrated their 64th wedding anniversary. They shared a deep love for one another until the very end.

She is survived by her husband, Murrell; one daughter, Shanda Barritt of Springfield; one granddaughter, Kazden Sisti of Portland, OR; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins; and her beloved Shih Tzu, Gia.

Preceding her in death are her parents; three sisters, June Leach, Doris Maine, and Joyce Frenz; one brother, Milton Jacaway; and one sister-in-law Dorothy Barritt.
Lorene loved music, shopping, and bowling. She also was a fantastic gardener and a home decorator.

Visitation: 11:30 am-12:30 pm Wednesday, January 17, 2018 at Staab Funeral Home –Springfield.

Funeral Service: 12:30 pm Wednesday, January 17, 2018 at Staab Funeral Home- Springfield. Burial will follow at Camp Butler National Cemetery.
