Loren E. Tozer

Loren E. Tozer, 91, of Springfield, went to his Heavenly Home at 11:23 pm, November 27, 2017 at Concordia Village with his family close by. He was born May 23, 1926 in Petersburg, to William Edward and Florence “Hattie” Neff Tozer. He married Shirley Vost on August 19, 1977 and she survives.

Also surviving are his sister, Joyce (Roger) Smith; seven children, Sandy (Richard) McClure, Michael (Connie) Tozer, Stu (Beverly) Vost, Sharon (Ed) Curtis, Steven Vost, Pam (Greg) Michaud and Scott (Kathy) Vost; twelve grandchildren, Lisa (Chuck) Bosworth, Ben (Judi) Vost, Ryan (Erin) Tozer, Susan (Mike) Sunley, Jon (Lisa) McClure, Bryan (Sheena) Vost, Steven (Amanda) Curtis, Holly Tozer, Jennifer (Jimmy) Coyle, Nathan Michaud, Rebekah McClure and Aaron Michaud; seventeen great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Loren was a member of Foursquare Gospel Church in Springfield where he served as a Deacon and also attended Methodist Church. He was a member and Past President of Springfield Teamster’s Retirees.

He was a truck driver and heavy equipment mover and had worked for Hilliard/Allied Moving and Storage Company.

He loved God, Family and Church in that order. Loved music and singing in the church choir. He was proud of his blended family and enjoyed many celebrations of birthdays and Holidays.

Visitation: 10 – 11:30 am, Saturday, December 2, 2017 at Staab Funeral Home – Springfield.

Funeral Service: 11:30 am, Saturday, December 2, 2017 at Staab Funeral Home – Springfield with Pastor Michael Tozer and Pastor Jimmy Coyle officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Ridge Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Foursquare Gospel Church or Kumler Neighborhood Ministries.
