Lois E. Glatz, 86, of Springfield, IL, died at 7:45 p.m. on Saturday, July 9, 2011 at Memorial Medical Center. She was born on February 27, 1925 in Ewing, IL to Joseph H. and Ruby Duncan Fowler. Lois married her husband of 69 years, Theodore Glatz, on January 31, 1942. Preceding her in death are her parents and nine brothers and sisters.
Surviving Lois are her husband; two children, Bette (Dr. Richard) Bilinsky of Springfield and Theodore (Paula) Glatz of Los Angeles, CA; five grandchildren, Jeremy and Kelsey Glatz, Beth (Bob) Berning, Matt (Kim) Bilinsky and Cara Bilinsky; four great grandchildren; sisters, Dorothy Webb of Ewing and Nellie Adams of Imperial, MO; brother, Paul (Darlene) Fowler of Alaska and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was a member of Holy Family Church in Peoria. Gardening and Fishing were favorite past times of Lois. She also volunteered at Spalding High School in Peoria and spent more than 20 years working with the Holy Family Food Program.
Visitation: 10-11 am, Tuesday, July 12, 2011 at Christ the King Church.
Funeral Mass: 11 am, Tuesday, July 12, 2011 at Christ the King Church with Monsignor David Lantz officiating. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Holy Family Food Program in Peoria.
