Lois A. Dennison, 63, of Springfield, died at 3:40 pm, Tuesday, June 24, 2014 at St. John’s Hospice. She was born January 6, 1951 in Springfield, to Charles E. and Bertie “Pat” A. Crim Luckey. She married Charles Leon Dennison on February 18, 1973 and he preceded her in death on October 1, 2000.
Also preceding her in death were her parents; one sister and two brothers.
Survivors include two daughters Amy (Terrell) Gorens of Springfield and Andrea Dennison of Slidell, LA; one son, Samuel Dennison of Loami; ten grandchildren; four sisters, Pat (Richard) Huddleston of Edinburg, Suzie Edwards of Curran, Lena (Tony) Peecher of Loami and Edna (Terry) Vaughn of Curran; five brothers, Sam (Annette) Luckey of Curran, Dan (Vanessa) Luckey of Springfield, Lou (Nancy) Luckey of Mocksville, NC, John (Susan) Luckey of Rochester, IL and Joe Luckey of Tahlegah, OK; one aunt, Barb Moriconi of Chatham and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Lois loved spending time with her grandkids and family. She enjoyed dining out and formerly enjoyed painting and bowling.
She retired from the US Post Office, Cook Street Branch where she worked as a Mail Processor.
The Family will be hosting a Celebration of Life: 1-4 pm, Sunday, June 29, 2014 at the Curran Township Hall.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Lung Association.
