PLEASANT PLAINS – Lois Deane Tippin, 61, of Pleasant Plains, formerly of Springfield and Jacksonville, died Thursday, Jan. 7, 2010, at Memorial Medical Center.
She was born Sept. 6, 1948, in Jacksonville, the daughter of Maurice and Helen Squires Driver.
She is survived by best friend, Daryl Tippin of Springfield; a son, Joshua Tippin of Springfield; a daughter, Jenna Tippin of Atlanta, Ga., formerly of Pleasant Plains; parents, Maurice and Helen Driver of Jacksonville; a sister, Connie (Gary) Braner of Jacksonville; a brother, Wesley Driver of Jacksonville; two aunts; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Lois was a resident of Pleasant Plains for 10 years. She worked as a plan center coordinator at McGraw-Hill for 14 years. She was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church and was a graduate of Eastern Illinois University with a Bachelor’s of Fine Arts degree.
Visitation will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday, Jan. 11, 2010, at Staab Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 12, 2010, at St. John’s Lutheran Church, with the Rev. Paul Olson officiating. Burial will be at Memorial Lawn Cemetery in Jacksonville.
