Leo William Gaines, 90, of Warner Robins, GA formerly of Springfield, IL entered into rest on Wednesday, August 27, 2014.
Leo was born on July 5, 1924 in Springfield, IL. He worked as a mechanic at Ulm’s Garage after serving in the United States Army during World War II. In his free time, he was an avid deer hunter and fisherman.
His loving wife, Marjorie Marr Gaines; parents, W.C. and Bertha Ulm Gaines; son, Wayne Gaines; and grandson, Brian Keith Robinson, preceded him in death.
His memory will forever be treasured by his daughter, Sharon Robinson of Warner Robins; daughter-in-law, Donna Hoock Gaines of Pacific, MO; granddaughter, Dawn Brumfield (Tony) of Centerville, GA; great-grandchildren, Michael Elliott (Jessica), Heather Brumfield, Brianna Brumfield, and Carl Brumfield; friend Eddie Black (Patty); and loyal dog, Shilo.
Graveside Service: 2:00 pm Saturday, September 13, 2014 at Oak Ridge Cemetery with Robert Green officiating.
