RIVERTON – LaTece Kasper, 79, of Riverton died at 10:20 p.m. Thursday, March 12, 2009, at St. John’s Hospital.
She was born Dec. 6, 1929, in Laverne, Okla., the daughter of Frank E. and Nora Cook Snell. She married Thomas Kasper, Jr. on Feb. 14, 1953.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters; and a brother.
She is survived by her husband, Thomas Kasper, Jr. of Riverton; two daughters, Cindy Pinneo and Lori Kasper, both of Riverton; two sons, James (Vaughn) Kasper and Richard (Debbie) Kasper, both of Riverton; three granddaughters; six grandsons; a great-granddaughter; a sister; a brother; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
LaTece was a resident of Riverton since 1953; Springfield from 1946 to 1953; and prior to that she lived in Oklahoma. She was employed by Allis Chalmers and Franklin Life, doing office work. She retired from Riverton School District, where she was a cook for many years.
She was a member of St. James Church in Riverton.
Visitation will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday, March 15, 2009, at Staab Funeral Home, with a prayer service at 4 p.m.
Funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, March 16, 2009, at St. James Church in Riverton, with the Rev. Joseph Ring officiating.
Burial will be at Camp Butler National Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to St. James Church.
