Larry E. Pope, 67, of Springfield, died at 3:19 pm, Wednesday, September 6, 2017 at his home. He was born December 16, 1949 in Springfield, to Harold and Betty Lewis Pope. He married Patricia Humphrey on September 25, 2001 and she survives.
Also surviving are his children; Larry (Cheryl) Pope of Columbus, OH, William Pope of Springfield, Robin (Tim) Simon of Edinburg and Tim (Dena) Pope of Edinburg; his step-children, Nathan, (Tabitha) Spann of Girard, Shelley (Steve) Baker of Riverton and Jeramey Spann (Stella Conway) of Virden; twelve grandchildren and one great granddaughter. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Larry retired from HD Smith as a Warehouse Supervisor after forty-three years of service. He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed fishing, hunting and playing golf. He also enjoyed working part time for Lincoln Greens after retirement.

I am so sorry for the loss of your dad Larry and Billy and family. I was planning on attending but woke up with the flu . May God wrap his arms around all of you and comfort you at this difficult time . RIP Larry Sr.
