Kimberly S. Myers, 54, of Chatham, passed away at 4:49 pm, Sunday, May 19, 2013 at Memorial Medical Center. She was born September 6, 1958 in Springfield to Kenneth and Nancy Sutton Hobbs.
Kim was a graduate of Edinburg High School and retired from AT&T in 2010 after 30 years of service. She worked part-time as a bus driver and cafeteria worker for Chatham School District.
Survivors include her companion of 23 years, Marshall Thorpe; her father, Kenny Hobbs of Rochester; mother, Nancy Hobbs of Springfield; sister, Pamela (Jason) Coe of Illiopolis; brother, Wes Hobbs of Rochester; grandmother, Georgia Hobbs of Edinburg; several aunts and uncles; two nephews, Eston Coe and Tyler Hobbs and several cousins.
She was preceded in death by one son, Randy Allen Myers; grandma & grandpa Sutton; grandpa Hobbs and three uncles.
Kim loved children and had an affection for several special pets throughout her life. She was an avid golfer, bowler and enjoyed traveling. She was always a comedian, lighting up any room she walked into with her infectious sense of humor.
Visitation: 4:00 – 7:00 pm, Thursday, May 23, 2013 at Staab Funeral Home.
Funeral Service: 10:00 am, Friday, May 24, 2013 at Staab Funeral Home with Reverend Melissa Ebken officiating. Burial will follow at Edinburg Cemetery.
