Kevin M. Bly, 24, of Springfield, died at 5:43 a.m, on Tuesday, January 15, 2013 at his residence. He was born February 24, 1988 in Springfield to David and Lori Hoots Bly.
He is survived by his parents, two brothers: Jeffrey and Dylan Bly all of Springfield; grandmother: Sharon Bly of Springfield; grandparents Tom and Becky Hoots of Concord and Dorothy and Mike Schnitker of Arenzville and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents: Nancy and Robert Portwood; uncle: Steve Portwood, cousins: Monica Portwood and Ryan Bly and grandpa: Gerald Bly.
He enjoyed fishing, hunting and boating. He was a sheet metal worker.
Visitation: 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m., Monday, January 21, 2013 at Staab Funeral Home.
Funeral Service: 12:00 p.m., Monday, January 21, 2013 at Staab Funeral Home with Miles Alexander officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Ridge Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Make-A-Wish Foundation or I- Worship Center.

Kev , i remember when i thought my world was coming undone , and there you were ... picking me up from school , hanging out with me and grandmas til dark , dragging dear out of the woods , running around in the timber , you made the divorce my dad was going through easier for me .... & i just wish i could of been there to show you , & tell you how much you are really worth , and how wonderful you really are ...... i love you , watch over me ...

Kevin, You were always my little buddy. You wanted to always be cool around me and show off. You literally would do anything I asked, the things i made you do as a child were just cruel. I dressed you up as a girl, and I put make up on you, and I made you play with barbies but you always did it. All the memories we have of playing Carmen Sandiego, and putting the beanie babies up on the fan and watching them fly, and building forts, and jumping off swings, and singing about Jefferey's curls, and playing band and making you listen to Billy Ray cyrus and Hanson and the Backstreet Boys....We were so creative as little kids and I will always hold those memories so close. I remember when we used to have talks about never smoking and never doing bad things when we got older, Ha you sure fooled me :). You woulda told me anything to make me happy. And all the wrestling we used to do. And I"ll never forget SCOOBY DOOBY DOO!!! And eating the pound of crab legs down in Florida and all the baseball games and the basketball games and us ganging up on Jeff ( we were so mean) It was always me and you kid! I know as we got older we grew apart and part of that was me moving away, and i'm sorry for leaving you. I wish I had been there more. I love you Kevin Michael, You are my Angel forever and I know you are in a better place, looking down on all of us saps , laughing at us for crying...You and me, we had a special bond....and I feel like a piece of me is missing now. I don't know how i'm ever going to get over this Kevin, but just know that I understand. And I love you kid, I love you so much!!!!! You are my brother, thank you for the millions of laughs, the millions of hugs, and all the amazing memories I have with you. You will always live on in my heart!

Omg kevin i cant believe you are gone. It seems like yesterday we were playing in the court or swimming or fighting like kids do. You will be greatly missed. You were like my littld brother that i never had. I guess that was the greatest thing about living wherr we did. We were all so close. I love ya Bambino
