Katherine "Kathy" Sullivan

Katherine “Kathy” Sullivan, died suddenly on Wednesday, December 6 in Belleville, Illinois. She was 51 years old.

Kathy was born February 22, 1966 in Wiesbaden, Germany, on an American Airforce Base, the youngest of five girls for Robert and Jo Ann Ford. Kathy’s father traveled with the Airforce, bringing the family to settle in Odessa, TX in 1983. Kathy had three beautiful redheaded girls with Brian Sullivan – Madison, Mackenzie, and Maitlan. Kathy was a resident of Springfield for 27 years as a loving, wonderful, and dedicated mother.

Kathy put every ounce of energy into her work, family, and home. She loved gardening, time with her dog, and sunny days. She never cooked for one – meals were meant to be served for everyone near her. Her love for her girls radiated from her and she worked for their benefit every day. She was a vivacious, amazing mother; caring, devoted coworker; and loving baby sister and daughter.

Kathy is survived by her father, Robert Ford of Odessa, TX; her three daughters, Madison Sullivan of Chicago, IL, Mackenzie Sullivan of Wheaton, IL, and Maitlan Sullivan of Syracuse, NY; her four sisters, Paula (Bruce) Klucker of Belleville, IL, Rhonda (Scott) Tourville of Collinsville, IL, Alice (Marty) Rambo of Gilette, WY, and Terri (Gary) Ford-Brown of Grand Canyon, AZ; and numerous lovely nieces, nephews, and grand nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her mother, Jo Ann Ford.
