SPRINGFIELD – Judith Marie Legs Waters, 61, of Springfield died at 4:45 a.m. Friday, April 25, 2008, at St. John’s Hospital.
She was born May 20, 1946, in Lincoln, the daughter of Clarence and Marguerite Sandel Kirk. She married David E. Waters on July 30, 1994.
She was preceded in death by her father and a brother.
Mrs. Waters, a resident of Springfield most of her life, was a homemaker and was formerly a bartender at Felbers Tavern.
She attended Flamingo Beauty College. She enjoyed camping, fishing, pitching horseshoes and darts. She was a loving and caring wife and mother.
Surviving are her husband, David E. Waters of Springfield; three daughters, Amanda (husband, Larry) Lanham of Springfield, Patty Flitz (companion, Tom Johnson) of Princeton and Carol Marie Pascal (companion, Tommy Robinson) of Shellsburg, Iowa; two stepdaughters, Tracey (husband, Claude) Freezen of Louisiana, and Divinity (husband, Robert) Stelzriede of Taylorville; a son, Keith (wife, Tara) Delgado of Chicago; 20 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; mother and stepfather, Marguerite and Frank Sutheard; four sisters; several aunts and uncles; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
A memorial gathering will be held from 5 to 9 p.m. Saturday, May 3, 2008, at 4400 Bissell Road.
