Joyce Ann Hogan, 76 of Springfield, IL died December 1, 2017. Joyce was born May 19, 1941 to Gilbert and Evelyn (Dufrenne) Moll of Prairie du Rocher, IL. She married John F. Hogan, August 2, 1958. They were blessed with five children, 24 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, grandson Timothy John Hogan, sister Jeanette Kennedy, and brother Thomas Moll.
Joyce was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, Auntie and dear friend to many. Joyce was known for her joyful heart, kind spirit and generous love for her family and the many people who got to know her. Her gracious hospitality was enjoyed by the many folks who visited at their home. She loved creating beautiful flower gardens, decorating her beautiful home, and shopping with and for her children and grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband John, her five children: Joni Lynn Roy (Norman) of Waterloo, IL, Timothy Patrick Hogan (Christina) of Buford, GA, Daniel Thomas Hogan (Mary Rose) of Springfield, IL, Jacqueline Ann Kneller (Rodney) of Springfield, IL, and Christopher Scott Hogan (Anne) of Springfield, IL; 23 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, 2 sisters, and 1 brother.
A private funeral and burial will be held for the immediate family.
A celebration of Joyce’s life for family and friends will be held Saturday, December 9, 2017 from 12:00 pm to 3:00 pm at Panther Creek Country Club.
Memorial contributions may be given to St. Jude Children’s Hospital or Shriner’s Hospital for Children in St. Louis.
