Joseph Patterson Crowe, 75 of Springfield, died at 12:20 pm, October 8, 2018, surrounded by his family. He was born November 12, 1942 in Springfield, to Donald and Winifred Patterson Crowe. He married Judith Delaney on October 12, 1963 and she survives.

Also surviving are two daughters, Carol (Thomas) Lesko of Granite City and Kathleen (David) Barker of Springfield; one son, Joseph (Cindy McFarland) Crowe of Athens; four grandchildren, Peyton (Chris) Thomas, Ryne Crowe, Matthew Barker and Cameron Crowe and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Donna Copp.

Joseph was a US Air Force Veteran. He was a member of St. Aloysius Church and Knights of Columbus in Riverton. He worked as a carpenter and was owner of a carpet business. He retired as a computer programmer from the State of Illinois Department of Natural Resources.

Visitation: 4-7 pm, Thursday, October 11, 2018 at Staab Funeral Home – Springfield, with a prayer service at 4 pm.

Funeral Mass: 10:30 am, Friday, October 12, 2018 at St. Aloysius Church with Reverend Clint Honkomp, OP officiating. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery where military honors will be conducted.
