John Stephen Fank, 56, of Springfield, died at 9:46 pm, Sunday, August 14, 2016 at Memorial Medical Center. He was born July 20, 1960 to Charles Edward Sr. and Nancy Jean Fay Fank.
Survivors include eight brothers and sisters; Charles E. Fank, Jr. of Springfield, Teena Knollenberg of Springfield, Richard E. (Suziann) Fank of Riverton, Catherine F. (Raymond) Delong of Springfield, Carolyn (William) Lacey of Calvert, KY, Rose (Tim) Sherwood of Springfield, Marvin (Ann) Fank of Illiopolis and Patty Gemoules of Springfield; one uncle, Elmer Lakin of Whitehall and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents; infant sister, Joanne Fank, niece Kayla Dillon and nephew Michael Ferguson.
John worked as a cook for the Salvation Army. He was co-owner/cook of Tea Thyme for fifteen years.
He loved to kayak and fish and had a passion for cooking.
