JoAnn McCall, 81, of Riverton, died at 4:50 am, Sunday, December 24, 2017 at Memorial Medical Center. She was born September 14, 1936 in Springfield, to Anthony J. and Dorothy Wiley Simanella. She married Jerie L. McCall on July 27, 1962 and he preceded her in death on November 24, 2017.
Survivors include three sons, Edmund “ED” Skube of Riverton, Mark A. (Jean) Skube of Springfield and Joseph A. McCall of Riverton; four grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; one son, Jerie L. McCall, Jr; one grandson, Christopher Skube and sister, Toni Lee Sanner.
JoAnn retired from the State of Illinois where she worked for the Secretary of State for eighteen years. She was a member of the Anchor Boat Club and Independent Order of Foresters. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially at the holidays.
She also enjoyed her ceramics, crafts, Bunco and Bingo.
Memorial Gathering: 11 am – 1 pm, Tuesday, January 2, 2018 at Staab Funeral Home-Springfield.
Memorial Service: 1 pm, Tuesday, January 2, 2018 at Staab Funeral Home-Springfield with Reverend Kevin Mann officiating. Burial will follow at Camp Butler National Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
