Joan M. Bressan, 81, of Springfield, passed away on Saturday, February 26, 2022, at Lewis Memorial Christian Village. She was born in Springfield on May 22, 1940 to William F. Horrighs, Sr. and Alma E. (Reynolds) Horrighs and they preceded her in death. She married Reno J. Bressan on January 14, 1961 and he preceded her in death on September 30, 2003.
She is survived by two sons, Brian (Stephanie) Bressan of Cantrall and Reno Joseph (Julie) Bressan, Jr. of Imperial, MO; one sister, Kay Owings of Springfield; one brother, Lee Douglas (companion, Verla) Horrighs; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Joan was a homemaker to begin with and then became a manager of the St. Nicholas Apartments, retiring after many years of service.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and two brothers and one sister.
Private family services will be held with burial at Calvary Cemetery. A Celebration of Life will take place at a later date.

Reno and Brian, I’m so sorry to hear about Joanie. I smile when I think about the first time I came to your house in college and met her. She always made me laugh. She will be missed.
