RIVERTON, IL- Jerie L. McCall, Sr., 81 of Riverton, died at 2:28 pm, Friday, November 24, 2017 at Memorial Hospice at Heritage. He was born on February 16, 1936 in Springfield to James and Marcella (Roberts) McCall, Jr. He married JoAnn Simanella on July 27, 1962 and she survives.
Also surviving are three sons, Ed Skube of Riverton, Mark (Jean) Skube of Springfield, and Joe McCall of Riverton; four grandchildren; eight great grandchildren and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Preceding him in death are his son, Jerie L. McCall, Jr.; grandson, Christopher Skube; mother, Marcella Stancil; Step-Father, Ray Stancil; father, James McCall, Jr.; and Step-mother Edith McCall.
Jerie was a resident of Riverton for 26 years. He retired from the Association of Illinois Electric Co-Op after 25 years of service and previously had worked for Weaver Manufacturing Company.
Jerie was a United States Navy Veteran, serving during the Korean War. He was a member of the Anchor Boat Club, Independent Order of Forresters and the Navy Club- Ship 32. He also enjoyed spending time with his family and grandchildren.
Memorial Gathering: 11:30am-1:30pm, Thursday, November 30, 2017 at Staab Funeral Home-Springfield.
Graveside Service: 2 pm, Thursday, November 30, 2017 at Camp Butler National Cemetery with Reverend Braden Maher officiating and where military honors will be conducted.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Shriners Children’s Hospital or St. Jude Children’s Hospital.

Hi Ed this is your sister Vicky please tell everyone I'm really sorry about dad and mom both passing away. And you know I have never stopped loving them or Joseph or you and Mark just remember I am still apart of the family no matter what happened and I'm sorry we haven't talked for a very long time. I Miss and Love all of you very much. And I miss and love Joseph very much.
