Jean Moody, 91, of Springfield, died on Thursday, December 17, 2020 at St. John’s Hospital. She was born on December 26, 1928 in Witt, IL to Paisley and Estelle Bourke. She married James J. Moody on March 15, 1952 and he preceded her in death on January 3, 2002.

She is the mother of three daughters, Sally (Mark) Curran of Niceville, FL, Mary Lynn Moody of Chicago, IL and Katie (Steve) McNamara of Pleasant Plains; three sons Terrence (Terry Lynn) Moody of Springfield, James P. Moody-deceased (Liz), Robert Timothy-deceased; nine grandchildren, Kyle (Kayla) Zellers, Cade Moody, Caitlyn Moody, Cara Moody, Griffin (Tajah) McNamara, Zachary McNamara, Jacob (Alessandra) McNamara, Allison McNamara and Claudia Moody; five great-grandchildren, Will, Jack, and Kinsley Zellers, Caleb McNamara, and Thomas Moody; and several nieces and nephews.

Jean was a member of St. Joseph Church in Springfield.

Visitation: 10:00 am-11:00 am, Saturday, December 26, 2020 at St. Joseph Church in Springfield.

Funeral Mass: 11 am, Saturday, December 26, 2020 at St. Joseph Church in Springfield with Reverend Manuel Cuizon officiating.
CDC Protocol shall be followed. Face coverings will be required and seating capacity will be limited.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Family Service Center in Springfield or St. John’s Breadline.
