Janice M. Stoller, 68, of Springfield, died at 1:10 pm, Monday, December 20, 2010 at St. John’s Hospice. She was born December 14, 1942 in Chicago, Illinois to Harold and Lorraine Semple Mitchell. She married Harry Stoller on January 28, 1967 and he survives. Also surviving are her mother, Lorraine Mitchell of Batavia, IL; one daughter, Lauren Stoller (husband: Cody Weller) of Springfield; two grandchildren, Sidney and Gabriel Stoller; one sister, Gail (James) Heiks of Iola, WI; three brothers, Mark (GiGi) Mitchell of Anchorage, AK, Paul (Becky) Mitchell of Batavia, IL and Ken (Patty) Mitchell of Griffin, GA and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Her father and one brother, Blaine preceded her in death.
Janice was a member of Church of the Brethren and a past member of the Illinois Symphony Orchestra Chorus. She formerly volunteered with PORA and was very active with other church related groups and activities. She was a registered nurse and worked for various hospitals. She was employed for several years with the Kidney Dialysis Unit at Memorial Medical Center and later as a Massage Therapist at Shari’s Spa. Her last employment was as the Activities Director at Montvale Estates.
Visitation: 10 am to 12:30 pm, Thursday, December 23, 2010 at Church of the Brethren
Funeral: 12:30 pm, Thursday, December 23, 2010 at Church of the Brethren with Pastor Kreston Lipscomb officiating. Burial will be at Camp Butler National Cemetery
