Janet Ruth Flexsenhar, 73, of Bonita Springs, FL died Saturday February 2, 2013, surrounded by the love of her family and best friend.
Janet was born to the late Virginia Etherton and Arthur Weiskopf on December 31, 1939. She was born and raised in Springfield where she met and married her husband, Michael Flexsenhar. In 54 years of marriage, Mike and Janet followed their life journey to many different locations and met so many wonderful friends.
Throughout Janet’s journey she always kept the love of her family and her unwavering Christian faith, center in her life.
Janet is survived by her husband Mike, and four children: Michael Jr. and wife Betsy, Mark and wife Laura, Kristine and husband Christopher, Keith and wife Tami,
Janet is also survived by 8 grandchildren: Michael III and wife Diane, Caleb, Brandon, Amanda, Riley, Abbie, Kyle, Molly, and her: Brothers – Norman Weiskopf of Naples, FL, David Weiskopf of Springfield, and her loving sister Kaye Brittin and husband Bill.
Also surviving Janet are many nieces, nephews and cousins.
She is preceded in death by her: Granddaughter, Morgan, Mother Virginia, Father Arthur, Sister-In-law Louise, Nephew Scott, and Niece Kelsey.

Visitation and Funeral: A visitation will be held at St. John’s Lutheran church, Springfield, IL on Friday February 8, 2013, at 10:00 am. The funeral service will begin at 12:00pm, with Reverend Greg Busboom officiating.
A private burial will be held on Saturday morning at Oak Ridge Cemetery.
Janet was comforted these past years by the love and support of so many wonderful people. She was a remarkable woman who touched many lives, and was a strong role model for living a faith-driven life filled with family.
