James “Jim” A. Wilber, Sr. 88, of Springfield, died at 7:10 am, Sunday, July 10, 2016 at Memorial Medical Center. He was born August 2, 1927 in Woodson, IL, to John and Grace McHorter Wilber and they preceded him in death. He married Connie Mastroddi on July 22, 1950 and she survives.
Also surviving are one daughter Pamela Meyer and one son, James Andy Wilber, both of Springfield and one granddaughter, Ashley Nicole Smith of Long Island, NY.
Jim was a US Air Force veteran. He retired after 46 ½ years with Pillsbury Mills and worked part time for Target after retirement. He was a member of P.O.L.K of A.
Visitation: 4-6 pm, Wednesday, July 13, 2016 at Staab Funeral Home in Springfield.
Graveside Service: 10 am, Thursday, July 14, 2016, at Camp Butler National Cemetery where Vaughn Beeman will officiate and military honors will be conducted.
